No sign-up, only the minimum
You & Me has no sign-up form and stores no email, phone number, name, photo or precise location on its server. Birth month, day and year chosen for luck stay in this browser and are not sent to our server.
What we keep
To collect matches by partner, we keep a hash of a random browser key and quiz participation links. Signing in can link this identifier to your account. Nicknames never merge people; deleting records or leaving removes the related links.
What you enter or pick: nicknames, quiz choices, daily cards (mood, kindness, color, a short note), reactions and replies, the interests and balloon color you share as a soulmate, planes sent and received (set questions and answers), blocks and reports.
For social sign-in, we keep a hash of the provider account ID, the sign-in method and its internal account link. We do not request or store your email, name or photo.
Your soulmate balloon shows the country you last visited from (a flag). You can hide it in My balloon.
To prevent abuse, requests are counted for one day under a hash of your network address mixed with a secret. When an error happens, only its message and the kind of page are counted per day.
Your browser keeps the access keys that open your records, your language and your luck settings. Social sign-in uses a sign-in cookie.
To show your personal taste card again, up to three of your choices stay in this browser’s quiz record. They are removed when you delete that browser record or the site’s browser data.
Friends and invitations
We keep up to five connections or requests you sent per person. Unanswered requests lapse after seven days, and requests you receive take no slot. An invitation can be accepted by one person within seven days. Deleting a public profile removes its connections and invitations. Blocking also disconnects the two people.
The operator sees aggregate counts of sends, replies and returning participants from retained records. No extra visit-tracking cookie is added, and question or answer content is not shown in these statistics.
We anonymously count page type, language, theme, grouped referral source and participation or sharing events. These counts store no names, account identifiers, IPs, answers, raw URLs, search queries or invitation secrets.
Usage counts are capped at 5,000 events a day; records older than 30 days are cleaned up automatically. You can turn them off anytime under Usage count settings at the bottom of the page; only that choice is stored, in this browser. Browser privacy signals are respected.
Why
Only to show results, deliver cards and planes, connect people with shared interests, prevent abuse and fix errors. Never for ads, tracking, sale or profiling.
How long, and deleting
Records made without signing in are deleted after 30 days. Planes are kept 30 days, request counts 1 day, error counts 30 days. What you keep in an account stays until you delete it or leave.
Expired records cannot be opened and are cleaned up daily. A backlog or outage may delay removal. Results saved in an account are excluded from this cleanup.
In 🌐 Settings → Account, “Leave and delete everything” (or “Delete everything from this device”) deletes it from our server and this device at once. Quizzes you took together disappear for the other person too.
Deleted-account sign-in blocking hashes and unlink security records are retained for up to 30 days, then cleaned up automatically. They cannot restore quizzes or cards.
Deleted data may remain in Cloudflare’s automatic recovery history for up to seven days. This recovery history is not accessible through the normal service.
Who else is involved
We do not sell your information. Cloudflare provides hosting and the database and may use servers worldwide. Social sign-in is verified by the provider you choose (enabled services among Google, Kakao, Apple and LINE).
